Specialty Diver Course
Main objectives:
 Inform the importance of sea turtles to marine biodiversity, impacts causing population decline, and what they can do to prevent further decline.
 Provide the knowledge and skills needed to identify turtles and record sightings.
 Marine survey methods from underwater and in the nesting areas.
Course Structure:
 Sea turtles: their importance - threats - general characteristics and methods of identification - methods of preservation.
 PADI Open water training dives.
 Survey method to encounter sea turtle underwater.
 Photo ID to document different turtles and their movements among sites.
 Standard methods for monitoring marine turtles in nesting areas on beaches.
 Allocate the sighting records of sea turtles on Google Earth.
Course Duration:
Two days 29th-30th November online via ZOOM.

7:30 – 8:30 p.m. (English) and 9:00 – 10:00 p.m. (Arabic) UAE Time.
